Title : Earth Day Celebrations at MPS
‘Be Green, Go Green, Grow Green’ is the adage which the modernites believe in and abide by.
With the objective of imbibing in the students the respect for nature and to generate awareness concerning the conservation of the planet, earth day was organised on 21 April, 2017 in the school premises with great zest and vigour. The day witnessed enthralling and exuberant activities which were euphorically attended by the students.
A cleanliness drive and Tree plantation drive was carried out by the students of classes pre-school and Pre-Primary. The other events included ‘Show and Tell’ for class I, ‘Best out of Waste’, Card Making, Folder designing and Poster Making for classes II, III, V and IX respectively. The students of class V decorated their class bulletin boards to spread awareness about nature and environment.
Class X students expressed their linguistic skills by writing a thought provoking essay on ‘Work for today, Preserve tomorrow’.
It was a great day to showcase environmental education and engage the whole student community in making a difference by promoting a better and healthier life by being environment friendly and forging a bond with nature.
