Modern Public School, Shalimar Bagh organized Tree Plantation Drive on 24 August 2017 in the school premises. It was a small step to support the noble mission of Action Committee of Private Unaided Schools to plant at least ten lakh saplings in Delhi. Dr. B C Sabat, the Senior Scientific Officer, Department of Environment along with honourable Principal Ms. Alka Kapur led the drive. The staff and students also joined this green initiative and contributed towards the green exposure of the school campus. The guest of honour, Dr. B C Sabat addressed the MPS fraternity. He urged the students to go for plantation drive at a large scale to enhance floral wealth. He also apprised them with the need to create sustainable eco system by planting saplings and adopting eco friendly measures. He advised the children not to just plant more and more saplings, but also watch them grow and be able to bask in their glorious beauty in future. It was indeed an attempt by the school to breathe new life into the city.
